Details: The inspiration were old outdoor benches from the former GDR, the seat formed by a single folded sheet of plywood. Added with different kind of synthetic resins. Those very elegant and simple seating surfaces were contrasted by bulky metal constructions. I always dreamed to transform this classic and minimalistic look for indoor living contexts. It took some time before i stumbled across very robust wooden tubes. stacked and stanned into the under construction, it creates a reversible and stable connection, which is easy to disassemble. By this the bench is reduced to the volume of the seat and able to be flat packed.
